After two months away, NAFA was delighted to welcome members back into their waters this week. Reports of big catches have been flying in from everywhere, with Jay Jay Durdu’s 24lb Common Carp from Island Pond the pick of the bunch. Today has been another productive day, with Gary Webber netting 5 tench and a bream from the back waters of Island Pond and Steve Underhill landing a beauty of a carp which topped the scales at 24lb from the same area. Sam Palmer caught an equally impressive 30 carp in a short three hour session on wheel pond despite the heat this afternoon. Wapperwell and Bradley have been the venues for mixed bags, with Andy Coxall and his son Jamie reporting a lovely selection of species yesterday afternoon on Wapperwell, and Bradley pond being as productive as ever.
